Sugaroo! is a music licensing and marketing company that represents independent labels, artists and music publishers for visual media licensing in order to place their music into TV shows, advertising campaigns, film, trailers, promos, video games, online media and beyond.
A Note from the Founder of Sugaroo! Music
I started Sugaroo! back in January of 1999 when the concept of repping independent labels and artists for visual media licensing (TV, advertising, films, trailers, video games, etc.) was still in its nascent days. In the subsequent twenty-two years we have had the good luck and pleasure to license more than 12,000 songs (and counting!) to virtually every kind of project and production, from major TV advertisements to hundreds of TV shows to cutting edge trailers to major motion pictures and the most indie of indie films, video games that my teenage sons love to play, and everything in between.
Our recipe is simple. We start by finding great independent labels and artists, immersing ourselves in their songs, maintaining and continuing to build great relationships with the greater music supervision community, and then sending the music we represent to the right projects and clients, with an eye toward securing licenses.
All the while our goal is to provide the best possible service to the people and productions we pitch music to. We see ourselves as being in the creative service business, and it is our mission to do everything we can to make a music supervisor’s incredibly challenging job as easy as possible.
We know how busy they all are, and how many options they have when it comes to choosing music for their spots, and it is our hope that whenever anyone interacts with someone at Sugaroo! that they are left feeling like they’ve had a positive, helpful and productive experience…AND found the perfect song for their project!
